Song ~ True Joy In Jesus Alone

Chorus:
True joy in Jesus alone!
So why do we murmur and groan?
When did we lose the joy of the Lord?
The true gift of God we could never afford on our own

Verse One:
Do you ever wonder, when life gets soo tough,
Will the love of Jesus still be enough
To get you through when you're feeling blue?
It's then that you need to remember what God gave to you...

Verse Two:
Have you ever doubted the promise He made,
To ever be with you, even when you're afraid?
For in good times and bad times He is still the same,
So never forget, God loves you; that's why Jesus came...

Verse Three:
Is there any reason you don't know the Lord?
The wages of sin no man can afford,
But Jesus has come, God's beloved, begotten Son;
He died on the cross, and He suffered great loss all for you...

The free Gift of God is in Jesus and Jesus alone!

In Jesus alone!

Song ~ Safe In The Shepherd's Arms

Soon the storm will pass away,
And soon the night will turn to day...
~
E'en though the storms of life surround me,
I know I'll be safe in the Shepherd's arms!
Though I am but a lamb
in the sheep of His pastures,
I know the Shepher cares for me!
~
Let no trial or test discourage,
Christ will give you strength and courage...
~
E'en though the storms of life surround us,
I know we'll be safe in the Shepherd's arms!
Though we are only lambs
in the sheep of His pastures,
I know the Shepherd cares for you and me!
~
Give your life to Christ today,
Let Him take your fears away...
~
E'en though the storms of life surround you,
I know you'll be safe in the Shepherd's arms1
For He was once a Lamb,
Who gave His life for man,
That we might know the Shepherd's love!

Isaiah 40:11
"He shall feed his flock like a shepherd:
he shall gather the lambs with his arm,
and carry them in his bosom,
and shall gently lead those that are with young."

"The Puzzle Piece"

~

One puzzle piece is missing,

For it has gone astray,

From the safety of my puzzle box,

My piece has gone away.

~

All of the other pieces,

Ninety and nine they be,

Though all together, and in their place,

Still the one means more to me.

~

Under couch and under chair,

Though my clothes should rip

and my skin should tear,

I'm looking, searching

for the piece that was lost,

and I'm willing to pay,

Whatever the cost...

~

My puzzle piece-at last-I've found!

Covered in dust, in shadows on the ground.

I bend and kneel, then grasp and stand,

To draw my puzzle piece into my hand.

~

With joy I tell all my friends

and my neighbors,

Considering no more the pains

of my labors,

I can't even remember the

price that it cost,

For I've found my puzzle piece

which was lost.

"Treasures Underfoot"

~

The ivy wall is dressed in red,

Our street seems paved with gold,

The climbing tree is a vibrant orange,

The orchard a sight to behold.

~

Children's boots splash through puddles with glee,

The leaves crunch softly under my feet,

I hear the wind whisper in the trees,

And nod a hello to each neighbor I meet.

~

The air is crisp and pleasantly cool,

Fresh with the lovely scent of rain,

Cap and scarf keep me cozy warm,

As I wander along this quiet lane.

~

Autumn is here with it's splendor and charm,

All God's creation is in it's prime,

I love to go walking on Sunday afternoons,

There's no better way to spend my time.

~

The world passes by on the busy road,

Oblivious of the beauty all around,

Too distracted to stop and seek,

The tiny treasures yet to be found.

~

Though the sky be cloud and gray,

The hills are aflame with colors bright,

In Spring I pick flowers along the way,

But now in each leaf I find new delight,

~

I pause to admire the ground where I walk,

I see precious gems under every root,

Each leaf is a special gift from above,

Never forget to look for those treasures underfoot...

~ Inspired by a Sunday afternoon walk with Mama, enjoying the Fall colors and searching for pretty leaves to collect and press. It reminds me to pause and look for those little blessings often overlooked and trampled underfoot. :)

'Every good and perfect gift is from above...'

.... though sometimes we have to look down!
