My senses understand

When I see a butterfly,
Flying in the sky,
I see the peace that God imparts,
To those in fear, who cry.

Christ watches every moment,
And hears my every sob,
When I am lost, he sends to me,
A little peace from God.

If Jesus has the time to care,
For each butterfly I see,
I know that I can trust in Him,
To care much more for me.

When I feel the thunder,
And lightnight clash above!
I feel the invincible power,
Of God's undying love.

Christ came to earth,
And died for me,
Unto His name,
All glory be!

Obedient, Christ Jesus was,
To His Father, God on high,
Even to the cross He went,
Faithfully, to freely die.

When I hear the gentle breeze,
Whispering on the air,
I know my Lord and Savior,
Is always, ever, there.

Christ whispers to His children,
Come freely unto Me,
Let no fear assail you,
All shadows soon will flee!

When He shines His Saving light,
Upon each darkened face,
Evil can no more defy,
The power of His grace.

When I smell the ocean breeze,
Filled with salty wonder,
I think of all the things He made,
Swimming, deep down under.

Christ Jesus said to those He loved,
I never will forsake thee,
And when a sudden storm arose!
He calmed the raging, roaring sea.

Though I know what He hath done,
I do not know His power,
And though I know He's coming back,
I do not know His hour.

All around me, made by Him,
My senses understand!
And safe am I, beside my Lord,
Holding fast, His hand.
